Glenn Bonness Scholarship-Education

The Glenn Bonness Scholarship was established in May 1999. No less than 50% of available monies will be directed to students enrolled in the university teacher education program. Recipients must be an enrolled full-time MSU undergraduate first-year students (freshman), sophomore, junior or seniors. The scholarship may be renewed dependent on the student’s continuance in the university curriculum and maintenance of satisfactory academic progress. Priority will be given to students eligible to receive financial aid.

  1. To apply, submit an autobiographical essay that includes: a. Background information about yourself which includes your experience in community service, extracurricular activities and campus organizations; b. A statement about your outstanding personal attributes; and c. A statement about your purpose and dedication to the teaching profession.
  2. List MSU faculty references. Please obtain a faculty member's permission to list them. Do NOT ask faculty for letters of reference.
